About Our Hydro-Jetting Service
First off…what is Hydro-Jetting?
Hydro jetting is the use of water under high pressure to clean and clear pipes of various types of debris. It’s an amazing process that got it’s start years ago in the oil fields and has found its way into a variety of industries that need to keep their pipes operating at a high rate of efficiency.
Comparison of Hydro-Jetting vs Traditional Rooter
Hydro-Jetting is extremely effective for the simple reason that it is the only process that can actually clean a line of debris. When you run a rooter line into a pipe you are typically punching a hole in a blockage to allow flow again in the pipe. This can still leave debris behind and this debris can act as a starting point for more blockage in the future. The high velocity streams of Hydro-Jetting spread out to impact the pipe wall more effectively than even a closely fitted rooter cable.
Myth: Some pipes might not be able to withstand the pressure of Hydro-Jetting.
Fact: The pipes are not pressurized with water. When the water is in the hose it is under high pressure but when it leaves the nozzle it is no longer under pressure but instead, traveling at a high speed. It’s this speed of the water hitting the pipe walls that does the actual cleaning of the pipe.
Hydro-Jetting a septic field is sometimes proposed as an inexpensive alternative to repairing a failing septic system. If you have water standing in your septic field or around your tank, it might be worth it to jet the septic field before replacing it at today’s cost. Jetting a septic system in most cases is about 1/4 to 1/8 of the cost of a new system.
Our Hydro-Jetting service can literally blast away roots & years of accumulated roots, scale, silt, sand, mud and grease build-up on the inside walls of your pipes. Hydro-jetting has the power to burst open the toughest blockages and at the same time scours the full diameter of the pipe, flushing debris and leaving lines clear. Short of replacing your pipes, hydro-jetting is the most efficient way to clear pipes of blockages without damage to the surrounding area and infrastructure.
